Privacy

Stormlio is built to need as little of your data as possible, and we do not sell or share your personal information.

What we store on your device

Your display preferences (units, time zone, text size, and light/dark theme) are saved in your browser so the site remembers them between visits, and they never leave your device.

We also keep your most recent forecast location on your device so the forecast page reopens where you left off. It holds only your latest location, for about 90 days, and is not tied to your identity or used to build a history or profile.

Location

When you use the “use my location” control, your browser asks your permission and shares your coordinates with the page so it can look up a point forecast. We use those coordinates to fetch that forecast and to remember your most recent location as described above; we do not build a location history or profile. You can also search by place name instead.

Forecast requests

Forecast and place-search requests are handled by our own server, which queries the underlying data sources on your behalf. Standard server logs may record request metadata (such as IP address and timestamp) for security and operational purposes; these are not used to profile or track individuals.

Contact

Questions about your data, or anything else? Use our contact form. When you use the form, the name, email address, and text you provide are sent to us so we can reply; we do not store them in a database.
